Best Buds

By the way, thanks Tyne for being such an awesome photographer! Wyatt and Jon have really bonded lately. He'd much rather hang out with his daddy than his mama. Am I jealous? No! I love watching him watch his dad and mimic everything he does. He's slowly learning to be a man. Am I sad that he's growing up so fast? Yes! I still get to kiss his baby fat cheeks but I know that even that is coming to an end soon. He looks at me with those big brown eyes and says, "Go to work? Go to work with dada? Bye, bye mama!".....and I know I've lost him. (Wiping away a tear now) I want you to remember son, how I nursed you, changed you and kissed away all your "owies"....but I'm glad that you want to be like your dad, whom I love very much and am in awe of daily. He is a gentleman that takes good care of his family and I know you will be the same too someday.

Brave Fisherman

Ouch! No this is not a new peircing. Jon was trout fishing and the fish caught him....literally. He said he had one hooked, it spit it out, the line shot out of the water..... and landed the fisherman. Here he is in the bathroom where I witnessed him push the sharp point of the hook all the way through his skin so he could clip off the barb and pull it out. You can't just pull a hook back through the way it came b/c of the small barb going the other direction. My strong husband. I would have just gone to the emergency room. There's no way I could handle this, although I have gone through 2 labors. Hmm....maybe I could have handled it.....I just would have chosen not to.

sweet pics and plumbing issues

During our monkey photo shoot, Wyatt showed his 2-teeth grin. He's such a happy baby!

Wyatt has started to pick apart one of my old quilts and eat it. I caught him in action here. I'm going to have to figure out a new covering for our old chest.

Wyatt and Jon have been really having bonding time the last few days. They hang out on the floor a lot together. Wyatt says DADA all the time now. This part of Jon's confinement is good. I wish I could say he's better today, but he's not. I had a melt down moment this morning when our pipes started vibrating in the wall and the dishwasher wouldn't work. We had a plumber come out just now and they fixed a toilet leak, which was causing the pipes to rattle and the dishwasher to not work. Life is weird! There goes our landscaping money. So, we don't have money for our yard, we'll make up for it with flowers from seed. Maybe nobody will notice the lack of grass or bushes if all they see are bright flowers covered in butterflies, hummingbirds and bees, not to mention the flock of dazzingly blue bluebirds flying overhead! :o)

Oh, lover!

LOVE
Jon and I sat down today and watched our wedding video. It made both of us tear up a bit. We're going on 3 years now and I'm glad to say that we are still in love. Even more than that, we are best friends! His blue eyes still make me melt. Ok, this is starting to sound pretty sappy! I didn't get married until I was 30, and it was soooo worth the wait! If you have a computer with volume then you can listen to some of my favorite love songs...or at least the ones I could find. If you're single and you're reading this right now don't despair! God has the best and most wonderous plans for your life! You never know what he has in store for you! Hang in there and make the most out of your single years!
