Husband's birthday

My mom is hilarious. She's been planning this deer cake for Jon for weeks now. Someday my husband will prove that he is just as good of a hunter as he is a fisherman. He's pretty determined!

I made this birthday banner for future b-day parties with my family. I used scraps of fabric for the flags and felt for the letters. All the fabrics used have special memories attached to them i.e. Grandma's old apron, childhood crafts, dresses......I thought this would be so much more meaningful than a plastic throwaway one. I made sure that there were girly fabrics and manly fabrics so it could be used for anyone.

It's pretty bad when your sister-in-law blogs about your husbands birthday before you do! Plus, she got way cooler pictures. I really only have 2 good ones. You know sometimes you just want to enjoy the party and not be the one behind the lens, right?! Anyway, you can see her great post here.
