Eventful Weekend!

Friday evening turned out to not be so blue. Jon came home and made trout, rice and veggies with candlelight. It relaxing and romantic. Then Julia F. came over and watched Wyatt while we went to Movie's 9. We snuck in small quarts of BlueBell Icecream and both cried over "Bucket List". Saturday morning after breakfast we drove up to Oklahoma to Beaver's Bend. Oh it is so beautiful!!! We set up our tent and went for a hike along the river. There are waterfalls everywhere. It was such a great day. Wyatt loved being outside. He wasn't fussy even once. We brought the pack and play and his swing (tied in between 2 trees). He had a blast.........and then the evening came. At 12:30 we all woke up to our neighbors pealing out of the parking lot. We thought maybe they left for good, but no, just brought back more beer. So, it didn't get any quieter. Everytime someone would whoop, Wyatt would wake up crying. Wyatt was eventually so mad he just refused to sleep and was screaming at the top of his lungs. It echoed in the whole canyon. We told the camp post but he didn't do anything. Finally about 1:30am we gave up and put everything back in the car while our baby screamed.....and drove the 3 hours home. Home again 4:30am. Yikes we were beat! Good spirits though. It was kind of fun actually. Sunday, I found out my friend in Chicago has died, Cindy Hilsebeck. It is so sad. They actually don't know what happened to her. She's very young, in her late 30's. She started passing out 2 weekends ago and has gone downhill since. She leaves behind a husband and a young son. Jon and I are going to try and go to the funeral this coming Saturday but I'm not sure how it'll happen. *sigh* Life is crazy. It happened so fast and it makes me so sad.

Goat's Milk and Attitude!
Wyatt had goat's milk for the first time. He gulped it down. At $3.50 for 1 quart, he better slow down!

I'm sorry about your friend Leigh. It's such a heartbreak to me when children are left behind. Some handle it well and some don't.

What an awful camping experience! Next time, try Shady Lake AK, it's always been quiet. In fact, you should go with us! That would be so fun! Let's scheme, ok?
