When it pours

So we've had a time of it with Ike. Our little town is without power and will continue to be until Wednesday. That's a long time. We also had to evacuate the Vashey home b/c two trees fell on our house. We're all ok, but our house is kind of sad. Hopefully insurance will pay for this.....we are staying at my parents which is not too rough. It's usually one of my greatest sources of inspiration. My mom has about every fabric imaginable and will sit and listen to all my crazy ideas for hours. Wyatt absolutely adores his Opa and Oma and their two dogs, so he doesn't mind....Jon doesn't mind b/c it's closer to work and school. Anyway, we've had a lot happen in a matter of 3 weeks...miscarriage, car accident and trees falling on roof. Despite these things we really are well and even joyful Seems strange I know. It's definitely a God thing. I hope all my blogger friends out there are well and whole through this Ike ordeal!

Oh, Leigh! I'm so glad you hear you're well, but that's so sad about your house! Your wonderfully positive attitude makes me feel pretty crummy for my recent complaining!

I'm so sorry to hear about your house!! Insurance should take care of it. God is good, isn't He? Even when most people think you should be angry and resentful towards Him, He gives you the strength and the joy to move on. He is a wonderful God. I'm so glad you two are leaning on Him. We're praying for you!!

Thanks guys! I am definitely not Pollyanna, though. I rant and rave and cry with the best of them!
