So I have really good news. So good, it's almost embarrassing! Our electricity is back on and we had breakfast in our own house! Amazing! They said no electricity until Wednesday! We have a big hole in our roof, but only the attic is exposed. They said there are no wires in the wall there, so we can have power without starting a fire. We had a tree company out yesterday and hauled away the massive thing! It was an old growth pine and it was huge. The other tree took out our back porch. It damaged our roof some but not like the other one. It's weird to me that we live in the piney woods of east Texas and yet we just went through a tropical storm.
I canceled my art classes until October b/c we have so much to accomplish with the car and house, but it was so very nice to eat breakfast in our own home. Wyatt and I listened to Charlie Brown Christmas, and I sipped coffee while watching Wyatt enjoy his food. He truly does find joy in his food. This morning he held his corn tortilla high over his head, looked up at it and jabbered something in "Wy" language, grinned at it, grinned at me and then tried to stuff the whole thing in his mouth with his chubby fists. Yes, corn tortillas are good...but not that good! Thank you for the prayers! I found this commenton my blog a couple of weeks ago. I was looking at an old post of mine for banana bread and found this woman's blog named Shauna. It's awful! She only posted 3 times and it is one of the saddest stories I've ever heard. I have no idea who she is. If you know her, please will you let me know if she is all right? ....and I warn you, don't read the blog unless you don't mind something sad. Please let me know if you know her!

Hooray for strategically falling trees and corn tortillas! Must be good to be home!
I checked out that blog you mentioned and that is beyond sad! Wow! Makes me happy for my trials!
What a great thing to be back home, I definitely think that breakfast is a cause to rejoice :)
Oh, I bet you are glad to be home. I am praying that your insurance cover the hole in your roof.
Funny, caleb and the kids and I listened to Bing Crosby's Christmas album last night when we were eating his homemade quiche.
We must be wishing cooler weather to come.
Breakfast is most important meal of the day, say yeah! (oh look at me, a rhyming genius)
That blog is so sad, sometime blogging is brutally honest, isn't it.
Yes, it is sad. I don't have any idea who she is. She could be dead for all I know!
