Art Camps Day1
Today was the first day of my art camps. I am tired!!! The first class had six students ranging from ages 7-12. My tiny dining room was packed, let me tell you! I think it went ok. First days are always kind of weird. Nobody really talks to each other and everyone almost always feels insecure. (Stephanie when are you going to come paint with me?) The kids seemed to have fun slapping the paint on the canvas. Bailey helped me with the first class, hung out and ate lunch with me and then Tara T, joined us for "Art in a Box". First we drove around in an unair-conditioned van and looked for trash that we could turn into treasure. I'm not sure what the girls thought about that. I mean, we were sweaty and we were looking through other peoples trash...hmmm. We scored some great finds, though. I think the best part of the day was when we got drinks at Sonic. My strawberry lime-aide never tasted so good! Tomorrow the kids get to learn how to paint flowers and Bailey and Tara get to actually turn the things we found into art. Fun and excitement in the Vashey household!!

Hey, now that sounds like some good, clean fun! Miss you!
I'll be curious to see that art that comes from that trash ... I mean cool things. :)
The question is when are you available. I want to get started so tell me what works for you. :)
Your treasure makes me think of a scavenger hunt that we should have. You haven't joined us on a scavenger hunt yet. I think that should go along with the June birthday party dinner.
