Jon Going Crazy!

Jon hurt his back Saturday mowing the church lawn. He was mowing up hill, turned funny and threw his back out. He has suffered from scoliosis (curvature of the spine) his whole life and he tries avoiding any heavy lifting b/c it causes him pain for weeks. The chiropractor looked at the x-rays and said that his lower vertebrae bone is out of place and pressing on a nerve. It is causing all different problems pain, numbness and swelling. Jon can either try and move the bone back in place through chiropractory or through surgery. As you probably know we don't have insurance, so surgery right now is out of the question. We are in the process of insurance (we have it picked out finally) but it's a little too late right now. Jon also doesn't have any sick leave or paid vacation time, so this will be taxing us financially. God is good, though. I have two portrait jobs in the works, both over a $200 ea so that came just at the right time. My art tutoring is going really well too. We are both extremely thankful for that. In the meantime, Jon can't sit, can only stand briefly and has a hard time using the computer for any length of time. This is so hard on him. If you know him at all he has a hard time sitting still, so he is getting extremely antsy and irritable. Wyatt is cutting teeth and Jon is cutting patience! Please pray for him to find joy even in this struggle and me to have patience. I feel like my day is a constant battle to keep him still. The bad thing is that anything he does, he pays for within minutes. He can't heal if he keeps re injuring himself. Anyway, hopefully this made sense. Thank everyone for all your support. Oh, I rented all the Lord of the Rings and a few other movies. Anybody have any guy movies?.....maybe trilogies......or more.....

As I was reading this I was thinking about movies. :) Or good books. We've got some. Don't spend your money renting. If we don't have anything you like the Reagh's will. :) I'm so sorry.

x-men series, man in iron mask, bourne identity 1 and 2, starwars -all, hitch, big fish, runaway jury, knights tale, guess who, sum of all fear, chain reaction, city slickers 1 and 2, pink panther series, legend of bagger vance, twister, annapolis, batman begins, looney tunes :), ratatouille, the dark crystal, minority report, tombstone, with honors, good will hunting, indiana jones series. Ok, that's enough. Let me know if you want to borrow any.

Leigh and Jon, I'm praying for y'all. Going crazy with pain and immobility is something I can understand. And of course watching some movies during that time...Let's see, the Scorpion King and The Mummy 1,2; Oceans 11, 12, 13; don't know if Jon likes them but Spiderman 1, 2, 3; all the Indian Jones flicks; the Italian Job. I can think of more if these don't help!!!

I love you both and will pray for quick healing, wisdom in decisions and financial blessings to carry you through!
